To allow us to prepare for guests we ask that you arrive from 3pm and depart by 10am.

All the above prices include:

heating, electricity, linen and towels including sauna towels.
Unlimited use of hot tub/sauna/steam cabin.
Accommodation based on three en-suite bedrooms, maximum 6 persons.

Terms & Conditions

To book your holiday

We ask that a 20% non-refundable deposit is paid by cheque to secure the booking.

Full payment is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Your reservation will be confirmed once we have received your deposit.

When you arrive

The Muckle Howf will be available for you from 4pm onwards on your day of arrival. To allow us to prepare properly for guests you must vacate the house by 10am on the day of your departure.

Prior to leaving

We ensure the house has been carefully prepared for your arrival and we ask that you leave it clean and tidy on your departure disposing of your rubbish appropriately. Please tell us about any breakages or damage before you leave.

If the house is left in an inappropriate condition we may need to charge an additional cleaning surcharge.

Pets

We do not allow any pets in the house, please do not invite in our own cats or dogs.

Smoking

This is a strictly no smoking property.

Damages

All damages and losses will be charged in full.

Additional guests

Once your booking is made the number of guests is not to exceed those included in the booking. Should you wish to vary that you must do so in advance, this also includes any intention to have day visitors to the house, the property must not be used as a venue.

We reserve the right to ask any persons to leave the property should their behaviour be unreasonable, or in the event of over occupancy or damage. Any refund would then be at our discretion.

Vehicles/Personal Property

Clients are advised to make personal insurance arrangements to cover cancellation, loss or damage to personal effects.

The use of the Hot Tub, Infra-red sauna, garden, grounds and pond are at the customers own risk. Children must be accompanied at all times. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage or any injury to persons not caused through the fault of the owner.

Cancellation

In the event that you have to cancel your booking 8 weeks or more prior to the holiday date you will loose your deposit, cancellation during the 8 week period up to the date of arrival will not be refunded in most circumstances and you are advised to have insurance to cover that eventuality.

Adverse Conditions

We are not liable to clients for any failure in the supply of public services or for the failure of any items available for your use. We will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury caused as a result of adverse weather conditions and any matter that is beyond our control.

If for any reason out with our control the house is not available on the stated date we will make a full refund, the client will have no further claim against us. Under no circumstances will our liability to a client exceed the amount paid for the rental period.
